A liver enzyme (also called SGPT) released when liver cells are irritated.

If it's high

Commonly raised by fatty liver, alcohol, viral hepatitis or some medicines.

• Vegetables, whole grains, dals and fruit
• Plain coffee in moderation is linked with healthier liver enzymes

If it's low

Low values are not a concern.
